On the ship and at every port

On the Ship
Princess Cruises offers tons of onboard activities to keep you busy on sea days. From Broadway-style shows and live music to trivia nights, cooking demos, and casino games — there’s never a dull moment. The ship also has multiple pools, hot tubs, a full spa, and a fitness center. Don’t miss the Movies Under the Stars on the deck at night!

Dining
One of the best parts of cruising is the food! The ship has a main dining room with a rotating menu. Can’t decide on just one dish? Order two!!!! Yes you can order two dishes with no extra charge! Multiple specialty restaurants(for an extra fee), a buffet, a pizza bar, an ice cream bar, and 24-hour room service(room service might be extra charge). We recommend booking specialty dining reservations early — they fill up fast!

Glacier Viewing
On our Glacier Bay day, a National Park ranger and naturalist will be on board to narrate the experience. Get out on deck early to grab a good spot. Don’t worry about switching sides of the ship, as it will rotate to give you a 360 degree view of the bay. Bring binoculars, a warm jacket(layers), and your camera. Watching a glacier calve into the sea is something you will never forget. Check on deck for free hot chocolate and or coffee. Usually coffee and bailey’s is available for a fee.
Juneau Excursions
Juneau offers some of the best excursion options on the trip. Top picks include whale watching tours, a helicopter glacier walk, the Mount Roberts Tramway, and a visit to Mendenhall Glacier. Book excursions in advance through Princess or a local operator — popular ones sell out quickly. Check with us as to which helicopter ride we are doing if you’re interested in going with us.
Skagway Excursions
If it’s available the helicopter hike of the glaciers is a must do. The White Pass & Yukon Route railway is another must-do in Skagway — the views are absolutely breathtaking. Other options include hiking, ATV tours, and exploring the Gold Rush era downtown on foot. This is one of the most photogenic ports on the trip. Check with us on which helicopter tour we are going on if you are interested in going with us.
Ketchikan Excursions
Ketchikan is great for outdoor adventures. Top options include a float plane tour over Misty Fjords, a jet boat excursion, kayaking, and the Totem Bight State Park tour. Creek Street is a fun walk and great for souvenirs. Ketchikan also gets a lot of rain so pack accordingly, and check weather day of stopping!
Victoria Excursions
Victoria is a short stop — only about 4 hours — so plan wisely. Butchart Gardens is the top attraction and well worth it. If gardens aren’t your thing, the Inner Harbour area is beautiful for a walk and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. There’s absolutely beautiful selfie opportunities for sunset on the harbor with the yachts and/or the lit up Parliament Buildings at sunset Don’t forget your passport!
