Vacation Your Way
This is YOUR vacation!!! Feel free to plan anything you and your traveling partner would like to do! Go and do your own thing, then meet us on the ship at dinner time(if you want) to discuss what fun things you did that day! This is your vacation, and we have ours, so feel free to do all the fun things, or nothing at all!
Souveniers
Don’t forget to leave room in the suitcases for souvenirs. Even if it’s only shot glasses. They take every ounce of space you’ll need. Every port we go to and the ship are experts at getting you to donate your money to them in exchange for goods and/or services.
Dining
Dine your way. Breakfast is usually done in the main dining room or the buffet or both!!! Don’t forget the order of dining: brekfirst, breksecond, snacks, pre-lunch, actual lunch, snacks, pre-dinner, appetizers, dinner(s) 1&2, desserts, then late night snacks at the international cafe. Lunch can be done on the ship(free) and/or on land at the local restaurants(for a fee). Dinner is mostly going to be main dining room and/or the Buffet, Jim and I will try to set up a group table(or two) in the main dinning room for all of us, so we can discuss the fun things we did through the day. If you choose to do the buffet, or go to one of the specialty restaurants, that’s entirely your decision!!!
Entertainment
Loads of entertainment on the ship. there could be broadway shows, magic shows, singers, water shows(at the pool), there’s the casino, and informational shows about Alaska, You have to remember, these people are experts at entertaining people, so there will be lots of shows going on at the same time. If you miss one, check for a show later in the evening! sometimes, they show twice in one day. Going ashore, whatever you want to do is up to you, whether it be excursions, or exploring the town(s), just make sure you’re on the ship one hour prior to all aboard time. Why one hour? to guarantee you’re in the line(if there is one) waiting or guarantee you don’t miss the ship’s departure.
Final Thoughts
Hopefully all of you get hooked on cruising just as fast as Jim and I did! if not, hopefully y’all have a good time, and wish to travel other places in other forms. Don’t forget your souvenirs of the ship!!!
